Applications and admissions
Every year, up to 30 students join our sixth form. The application process opens in May and the selection process takes place in June. The application deadline is usually in mid-September when a pupil is in UK School Year 11. All applications received will be considered and we will then shortlist pupils to be invited to St. John’s for an interview.
Applicants should be of a high academic standard (ideally gaining a minimum of 9 GCSEs at Grade A-B or an overseas equivalent) and who are also likely to make a notable contribution to school life, such as in sport or in the arts.
Our admission process is thorough. We are confident that, if we offer you a place in our sixth form, you will enjoy your time with us, flourish academically, and be ready to join the university of your choice.
