Young Musicians Recital Evening at St. John’s Senior

By special invite, musicians from both St. John’s Prep. and Senior Schools will perform a varied programme of pieces and songs which have been selected to showcase each individual. Musicians are invited to play if they are of an exceptional standard with their instrument or voice. Pupils are also invited to perform if they show great promise in a new area of study and have prepared a simple piece well which shows their ‘up-and-coming’ ability. Children who learn instruments in school and externally are invited to play and this provides an essential platform for any young performer so that they can grow and be at ease in front of an audience. Children are also encouraged and taught the important skills of performance etiquette, including how and when to bow properly and most importantly to take time and enjoy their moment.

The event begins at 19:00 and will last for approximately an hour and a half (with a short interval for younger pupils to leave)
