Children in the Lower School had a wonderful day celebrating the beginning of Chinese New Year with a dance workshop where they pretended to be a Chinese dragon, then learned a ‘peacock’ dance using fans. In the afternoon, Pre-Prep. and Prep. One joined together to learn more about Chinese New Year and made dragons, lucky envelopes and lanterns and wrote their ages using Chinese numerals. At the end of the day, we were delighted to welcome one of our parents who toldus of her personal experiences celebrating Chinese New Year.
