St. John’s played in the first ISA Tennis competition today and with our U11 pupils. It was a team competition meaning 5 players played singles against the opposition. We won the first match 4:1 verses Lockets Park. Then we lost 4:1 to Oakland’s. Coopersale next with a 5:0 win. The next match was the best one ending 3:2 to us. Finally a 4:1 win over The Webber. All the pupils performed to the best of their ability and we came 2nd. Well done! Anna, Arthur, Rohan, Artim and Lennox. In the singles Lennox actually won it with convincing scores, 10:2, 10:0, 10:6 and 10:3 in the final. Really great event and it was a pleasure to take part. The standard was very good.
